History

Force Corporation is a family-owned and operated company. Jack Jackson, the original founder and CEO of the company, was succeeded by his son, and current CEO, Mike Jackson. Since 1979, Vickie Jackson has worked for the company and now serves as CFO/CIO. Mike and Vickie have been married since 1983.

Jack Jackson believed strongly in the power of industry-driven workforce development efforts, which led him down a path of community involvement and service. In addition to being a member of the local Rotary Club and many Chambers of Commerce, Jack also was instrumental in the creation of the Southeast Economic Development (SEED) organization (now Economic Alliance Houston Port Region). Jack also served as Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Greater Houston Chairman of the Board in the late 1980s and subsequently served as president of the Texas statewide chapter of ABC.

Driven by the principles he shared with his father, Mike utilized his 24-year tenure in the Texas Legislature to fight for the benefit of his constituents and to advance the interests of small businesses across the state.

Mike followed political aspirations and won his first election in November of 1988 to serve in the Texas State House of Representatives. After his first successful election, he proceeded to win 4 re-election campaigns, totaling 10 years of service as a Texas State Representative. He then set his sights on the Texas Senate in 1998, winning and serving for an additional 14 years. Driven by the principles he shared with his father, Mike utilized his 24-year tenure in the Texas Legislature to fight for the benefit of his constituents and to advance the interests of small businesses across the state.

Contemporary

In 2010, Rusty Barnhill (president) and Manuel White (executive vice president) joined the company, bringing with them a tremendous amount of industry knowledge, experience, and relationships that have breathed a remarkable amount of new energy into the organization. Rusty Barnhill has himself long been a leader in the workforce development arena and has given over 20 years of service to the Craft Maintenance Education Foundation (CMEF) Board of Directors and the ABC Greater Houston Board of Directors.
